Staff Support & Professional Development
Teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs but it is also physically and emotionally draining. During this time it is important that we look after ourselves and look out for one another. We will continue to be in regular communication through our emails and 'virtual meetings' but beyond this we must also take care to ensure that we are protecting ourselves during this intense time.
Please remember that we are a team, a team who supports one another.
Please read the information and make yourself aware of the links on the adult support section here as there are lots of useful tips, resources and guidance to support you during this time.
There are lots of interesting online courses available to staff. Many of these are being offered for free and it is an excellent opportunity to explore these, experience new learning or consolidate and revise areas of interest or specialty.
The links below are suggestions and we encourage you to balance these with some well-being and reflective time where possible also.
RECOMMENDED TEACHING & LEARNING: Tom Sherrington's Rosenshine Masterclass online provides greater insight into many of the current practices we deliver in our classrooms at GSP. There are 5 Masterclasses available on YouTube, the link will take you to the introduction and the other sessions are available to view on the right hand side of the screen.
RECOMMENDED FOR ALL: Online training to develop a greater understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
