School Catering at TCAT Primary Academies

At TCAT, we know that healthy, nutritious food plays an important role in helping children learn, grow and thrive. Our primary schools offer a varied menu each day, with plenty of choice to suit different tastes and dietary needs.

Breakfast Choices

Children can choose from a selection of breakfast items, including:

• Toast

• Crumpets

• Fresh fruit

• Raisins
  

School Lunches

Our school lunches are available on a rolling two-week menu and cost £2.80 per day.

Each day, pupils can choose from:

• A hot meal option

• A vegetarian meal option

• Seasonal vegetables

• Jacket potatoes with a choice of cheese, beans or tuna

Most schools also offer a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, including:

• Ham

• Cheese

• Chicken

• Tuna

Desserts and Snacks

A different dessert is available each day, including favourites such as:

• Homemade biscuits

• Sugar-free Angel Delight

• Flapjacks

• Sugar-free jelly

• Homemade cakes

Every day, children also have access to:

• Fresh fruit

• Yoghurts

• Cheese and crackers

• Soreen

Special Theme Days

Throughout the year, we make school meals even more exciting with a range of themed events, including:

Halloween

A fun themed menu to celebrate the season.

Christmas Dinner Day

Children enjoy a traditional festive meal and every child receives a Christmas cracker at their table.

Chinese New Year

Special dishes and activities help pupils learn about and celebrate the occasion.

World Book Day

Our popular Willy Wonka-themed lunch includes a golden ticket challenge. Children who find a golden ticket on their tray win a book to take home.

We work with trusted suppliers to ensure our pupils enjoy high-quality, fresh ingredients every day.

Our suppliers include:

• TC Meats - providing fresh meat and sandwich fillings each week
